Join our ~NEW~ Books and Bourbon Book Club!

Bay Books is proud to be partnering with our neighbors at Northern Latitudes Distillery to offer a unique opportunity for exploring excellent literature by Michigan authors, while enjoying Michigan-made craft spirits. Let’s read and drink LOCAL!

Meetings will be held on the last Thursday of each month (unless otherwise announced) at the new Northern Latitudes Distillery (7150 E Duck Lake Rd, Lake Leelanau). Book Club cocktail specials will be offered at each meeting, along with a variety of mocktail and coffee/tea options.

5:30-6:30pm — Book Discussion and details shared about a featured NLD spirit!

Enjoy a Mindful Weekend of Meditation, Journaling, Yoga, and Connection at The Hendryx House on Grand Traverse Bay. Join us this summer in the serene beauty of Suttons Bay for a rejuvenation retreat experience sponsored by Bay Books with Ayurvedic Yoga and Well-Being Coach, Angela Cominos Koehler. Surrounded by water, vineyards, and small-town charm, we’ll gather to pause, reflect, and realign with what truly matters.

We invite women to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate clarity through yoga, meditation, and reflective writing. Guided movement, mindfulness practices, and writing exercises help participants release what no longer serves them, explore their inner wisdom, and leave with a sense of renewal and inspiration. Time spent in nature, journaling by the water, and shared experiences will deepen your connection to self, to others, and to the natural beauty surrounding us. 

Arrival and Check-in will be on the 26th from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. After taking time to settle your things in your room, we’ll have time for gentle yoga, breathwork and a nourishing, light dinner. This weekend experience will include your lodging, yoga practices, two breakfasts, a lunch, two dinners and a variety of snacks and refreshments.  Stargazing and time on the water will also be there for you.

Check out is June 28th at noon, after a meditative yoga practice and closing circle time.

Room prices (including meals and the whole yoga experience) will range between $1,000.00 – $1,200.00. For two-person rooms, there will be an additional $250.00 charge.
