Bring your favorite fiber arts, whether it be crocheting, knitting, felting, needlepoint, hooking rugs, embroidery—how many are there? As many as you!
This first event will be led by Marshall Thornton, author and Tina Greene, Bookworm of Bay Books
As you happily work away, we will be interviewing Marshall Thornton (who will be crocheting) about his new book “Half Double Murder”—featuring a Fiber Arts Club and of course, a murder! As this is also the new book’s release date, copies will be available to purchase and will be our next Fiber Arts and Book Club selection. See you there, fiber arts in hand!
RSVP by sending us an email to baybooksmi@gmail.com or giving us a call at (231) 944-6809.

It’s about making a sweater. A warm, cozy, crocheted sweater
When a troubled teen named Brown and a senior citizen named Chester meet at an LGBTQ fiber arts group, they both want to crochet sweaters. But yarn, hooks and needles are set aside when the director of The Center is accused of murdering the owner of a neighboring hair salon who posted transphobic attacks on social media. Brown, Chester and the rest of the fiber arts group set out to prove their friend’s innocence. He is innocent — right?
This new mystery by three-time Lambda award-winner Marshall Thornton is set in the familiar universe of Wyandot County, Northern Lower Michigan, but Half Double Murder jumps ahead to the year 2016 with a mix of new and old characters.
