This September, Bay Books invites you to step away from the constant notifications, endless to do lists, and busy routines for three peaceful days on the shores of Suttons Bay. This isn’t about reading as many pages as possible. It’s about slowing down long enough to remember why you loved getting lost in a good book in the first place.

Wake slowly with coffee as the morning light stretches across the bay. Spend your day reading on the beach, paddling across calm water, joining a gentle yoga session, or simply sitting quietly with nowhere you have to be.

At Bay Books, we believe books have always been about more than stories. They encourage us to slow down, see the world differently, and reconnect with ourselves.

This retreat was created to offer that same feeling beyond the pages.

Nestled along the shoreline of Suttons Bay, Hendryx House provides a peaceful setting where the days naturally move at a gentler pace. Morning sunrises over the water, quiet afternoons on the beach, evenings gathered around the table, and the simple joy of having nowhere else to be create the perfect backdrop for rest and renewal.

Space Is Limited

To keep the experience intimate and relaxing, attendance is limited to six adult guests. Spots are $1,200.
