Book Clubs

Zoom with us to join our ‘Books and Wine’ book club on September 14th at 6pm.

We’ve been having the best time in our Zoom book club these past months, featuring a new local winery each month, enjoying the knowledge that each winemaker has shared with us regarding the selected wine and then wonderful, wonderful discussions surrounding the chosen book. Thank you to all who have participated! I think we all agree that it gets better and better each time.

For our September Books & Wine Book Club,  we will be featuring the book “Morningside Heights” by Joshua Henkins who will also be joining us from New York for a Q & A at the end of our book discussion. Prepare your questions because he is excited to share answers and insights with all of us. We’ll also be featuring Soul Squeeze’s 2017 “The GruveSparkling Gruner” for this month’s libration. If you haven’t been to Soul Squeeze yet, make that drive to Lake Leelanau and have a tasting of their delicious wines.

What a great way to learn about what others are reading as well as get a good tip on a potentially new wine. Please join us by emailing Bay Books at baybooksmi@gmail.com.

Children’s author and illustrator, Lynne Rae Perkins, has hit it out of the park again with her newest children’s chapter book, Violet and Jobie in the Wild. From the life experiences of two mice, we see their perspective on how to truly adapt to change and embrace something new as a challenge, not an obstacle.

Join Lynne on September 17th @ 4:00 for an interview, Q & A and book signing. This event will also be live streamed through FB Sept. 17th @ 4:00
