We’re super excited to announce we’re starting a ‘Social Justice Book Club’. What’s better than getting to read meaningful literature and discuss inequalities and injustices? This wonderful book club will be held the third Tuesday of each month.
‘Social Justice Book Club’ will be moderated by book loving patron Kelly, it will explore justice in terms of access, opportunities, and wealth. It is tailored for adults and the goal is to get us thinking and talking about the inequalities and injustices we see around us, and sometimes experience. We hope to seek multiple perspectives by selecting nonfiction, novels, memoirs and more to gain a greater understanding throughout our explorations. This will be a non-judgmental, safe place to learn and discuss openly our thoughts.
Our first book will be “Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail” by Ray Dalio. It’s a pretty hefty volume but well worth the read and thought. Come even if you haven’t started reading it yet—we’ll be spending more than one book club meeting on this book.
