Bookseller’s Rainbow Reading Challenge

The Booksellers Rainbow Reading Challenge started, as most challenges do, under a time of boredom and a bit of duress caused by the pandemic. As independent booksellers, we are always looking for new ways to find books to read and to recommend them to our book patrons.. And sometimes these ways are just silly and a way to kill time while our doors have to be closed. There was lots of ridiculousness going on amongst us but then a bookseller in New York threw down to me the challenge of picking out books based solely on the color of the spine, following the colors of the rainbow, and reading them in one month. Well. Who wouldn’t want to do that? And the rest is history, so they say. This is what we do. We read books and we, well, do things about it.
